- A few days after the curtain lowered on “Operetta”, which was a huge a success -
Koga: …..♪
Arashi: Oh my? My my my, isn’t this unusual… Koga-chan is excitedly perusing a newspaper this early in the morning.
Maybe it’ll rain tomorrow? Though it feels like it’s a little early for the rainy season…
Koga: Don’t call me -chan, Ari~...
Well, I guess I get that it's strange enough for me to be readin' a newspaper that it'd warrant oncomin’ rain or maybe even a storm*.
But there were some articles I kinda wanted to check out, so I picked up some major newspapers on the way to school this mornin’.
Look, Adonis is your friend through the Track Club, right? The articles say that the whole incident in his country is finally bein’ settled, so read ‘em and put your mind at ease.
Arashi: I’m good, thanks… I actually have a habit of reading all kinds of magazines and newspapers in the mornings, so I’m already up to speed on those articles.
It really is such a relief that it all got resolved peacefully so unexpectedly quick. And I heard that Adonis-chan is returning tomorrow…
When I found out about that, I actually kind of teared up ♪
Koga: Right? This whole time, Adonis only said stuff like “I’m okay” and “Don’t worry” in his usual tone where you can’t tell at all what he’s really thinkin’ over phone calls.
Made me worry that he might not actually be all that okay.
And that’s why, even though it’s unlike me, I went and looked for word in the newspapers that get circulated ‘round the world.
Sheesh, I’d never known how expensive newspapers were ‘till now.
But still, it was the right decision to buy ‘em. Look, there’s articles about our “Operetta” in ‘em, too.
They’re pretty short, but we did get worldwide coverage after all.
‘Course, that was our intention. But it did once again prove to me just how Sakuma-senpai can boast of bein’ a world-renowned super star.
Arashi: True, he might actually be such a big deal that we should be overjoyed that we got to co-star with him at all.
But since I know the person in question himself is just a good-natured grandpa, it just won’t click with me.
Also, even though I’m aware that “Operetta” turned into worldwide news, it just doesn’t really feel like it for me as a related party...
Even as I see the articles right in front of me, they seem almost made-up to me somehow.
Also, I’m dissatisfied at the complete lack of pictures showing off my supreme beauty.
Koga: Ahaha. There’s no helpin’ that, ‘cause those damn nuisances of brothers are in the limelight.
So annoyin’... If they’d just had a heart-to-heart talk they could’ve resolved this in 5 minutes, and yet they went and dragged this shit on endlessly.
Arashi: Ufufu. But you could say that this is another matter settled, so all's well that ends well, right?
And thanks to Ritsu-chan’s high profile, Knights has been reaping lots of benefits too… Banzai~♪
Koga: ‘Izzat so. As for UNDEAD, it’s not all that great to only have rumors of that bastard havin’ a little brother circulatin’ around.
Oh well, I’m fine with it. Everyone’s worries got resolved, so it’s all smiles now I guess.
(...I’m so happy for you, Sakuma-senpai.)
(Hehe… Since that guy kept up his cool facade all the way ‘till the end up on stage, the weak Sakuma-senpai who lost his way and came to ask for my advice is somethin’ I get to keep all for myself.)
Mao: Heyo~, delivery’s here~!
One childhood friend who insists he overexerted his mind and body during “Operetta” and lost the willpower to walk on his own, coming right up~!
Ritsu: Yep. I’ve used up all my energy for the year, so from today on I just wanna spend the rest of it holding onto Maa~kun and sleeping.
‘Cause if I don’t let him spoil me every so often, Maa~kun starts sulking.
Mao: Nah, it’s actually kind of a pain, for real.
Since “Operetta” was such a heap of work, the student council duties have been piling up this whole time. We’ll never catch up with them if we don’t work every morning.
These are cries of joy, though. Just like I planned, thanks to “Operetta” being managed by the student council, we’ve been getting requests from overseas lately, too.
Work is a good thing, no matter how much it increases ♪
Arashi: Oh my, good morning Mao-chan. Ufufu, did you come to school together with Ritsu-chan today?
Since our classes got split up, it feels like it’s been a while since I saw this view ♪
Mao: Mh, well it’s only for today.
Sengoku and the other student council members figured I must be tired out right after “Operetta”, so they told me to leave the council duties to them and take it easy for now.
Thanks to that, I’ve had time in the mornings lately, and I figured I might as well spoil this one over here once in a while.
Ritsu: Indeed. Go forth and spoil me to your hearts’ content, and offer everything you have to Ricchan.
Mao: Just who do you think you are.
Ritsu: You should be well aware. I am Maa~kun’s beloved childhood friend, a chevalier of Knights, the little brother of Sakuma Rei.
Also, I’m Corgi’s owner.
Koga: You take back that last part right now. ...Speakin’ of which, you actually started talkin’ about how you’re Sakuma-senpai’s little brother on TV and stuff now, huh.
Ritsu: Yeah. No need to hide it, really.
Koga: Fair enough. Actually, I read in this newspaper that there’s gonna be a press conference held about that.
Did you hear about it? Is this any time for you to be indulgin' in your affair with Dekosuke?
Ritsu: What? Aah… Yeah, I feel like I heard about that sometime before “Operetta”, that Anija planned to hold a conference soon.
But wasn’t that just planned to express our regret at the uproar the whole “me being his little brother” thing caused, or something like that?
The situation has changed since then, so didn’t the press conference get canceled?
Koga: Nope, it looks like he’s still doin’ it. Look, it’s in the program guide in this newspaper.
Mao: Hm. It’s for real, and now that I look at this, it’s actually starting broadcast as we speak.
I wonder what he’s gonna talk about… Why don’t we watch it on the classroom TV? You can watch normal programs on those things, right?
Ritsu: Yeah, you just need to mess around with it a little. Leave it to me. I’m kind of interested in it myself… And unlike my useless Anija, I’m good with machines. I’ll set it up.
There we go… I think I’ve got it, is it showing the right program?
Koga: Yeah. ...Hey, what the hell!? What is this? That bastard, what is he plannin’!?
