Book Fair - Chapter 1
May. 10th, 2019 04:22 amLocation: Garden Terrace Kitchen
Ritsu: Fufufufu~....♪
Lizard’s tails, grilled bats, the tentacles of an octopus, and spider’s thread, mix them all together with the secret ingredient, and oh, how wondrous!
A delicious confection is made~♪
Arashi: Truly, whenever I see this I think, “Oh, how wondrous”, too. Even though the sweets you make look absolutely distasteful, once you eat them they’re actually so delicious I can’t help but be surprised every time.
If I only judged the taste, I could agree with you taking the excellency award during the “Confectionery Contest”*.

Tsukasa: Ritsu-senpai! I decorated the cake with the cream as you told me to!
Ritsu: Good boy. Now fluff up this fresh cream~♪
Arashi: Wait just a moment, Ritsu-chan. You say it’s fresh cream, so why does it have the color of mulberries?
Actually, why are we making so many sweets in the first place?
Ritsu: Because it’s fun~ Also, I did win the “Confectionery Contest”, but they ended up revising my design.
Because of that, you can’t say it was 100% my win.
That’s why I’m coming up with a lot of new sweets. The one I came up with this time is amazing. You can eat and eat, and the amount of sweets won’t decrease...♪
Arashi: That sounds like a nightmare of a confection.
While I’m grateful that you’re so full of energy for our “on-campus part-time job”, don’t you think it’s time to stop making sweets and tackle our next job?
Of course, I’d rather not be doing any “on-campus part-time job” at all. But as we are now, we can’t exactly say that, can we?
Even though we already participated in the “Confectionery Contest” to alleviate the disgrace we incurred during “DDD”.
Somehow, somewhere along the way, “making sweets” has become your only objective here.
Ritsu-chan’s confections are already delicious enough as they are.
So instead of just burning with the spirit of revenge, why don’t you focus our energy into a different direction?
Ritsu: It’s not like I’m burning with it~ In that case, Nacchan, why don’t you eat the sweets I made?
Since you said they’re delicious you should be able to eat them without closing your eyes, right~?
Arashi: Errr… I wish you wouldn’t say such sadistic things.
Izumi: Hey, if you’re just going to stand around chattering, can I go home already?
Arashi: Oh dear, are you trying to get my attention by saying you want to go home? You know you don’t need to do that since you’re already my number 1, Izumi-chan?
Ju~st kidding. My number one is really Kunugi-sensei ♪
Izumi: Nobody asked, so don’t wriggle your hips like that.
...In any case, I agree with Naru-kun’s point of view.
The reason we’re doing these bothersome things in the first place is to raise our image, right?
It’s not like just making sweets all the time will raise our image, so we should be looking into doing something else instead.
Arashi: Oh, what an unexpected response. And here I thought you’d say, “As if I’d do something as plain as an on-campus part-time job~” or something like that.
Izumi: Well, it’s partially… no, entirely my fault that we are in this situation to begin with, so.
Arashi: Yup, yup. If Izumi-chan hadn’t abducted and confined Yuuki-kun, we could be holding a live show right now.
Actually, since you’re self-aware about it, how come you still chase Yuuki-kun around all the time?
Izumi: I don’t do that though. It just looks that way because Yuu-kun runs away whenever I try to talk to him.
I don’t do violent things like that anymore… Even though I just want to get along with him like we used to... So why does he treat me like that?
Arashi: Hmm, Izumi-chan doesn’t have any bad intentions.
But if you do things like that, the freshly polished image we have is going to be all for nothing, so practice some self-control.
If you long for human warmth, I’ll warm you right up ♪
Izumi: Stop it, you’re gross.
A~ah, I want to see Yuu-kun... I want to see him and hear him say, “Onii-chan, I love you ♪”.
Arashi: Yeah, yeah. Don’t sulk, Izumi-chan. Well, before we continue this conversation, we should dispose of this stuff first.
Ritsu: Huh~? I get the feeling I just heard you say something heartless like “dispose of this stuff”?
Arashi: O-Oh, I must have misspoken. I meant we need someone to “enjoy these delicious treats”.
Coincidentally, I am on a diet right now so I must refrain.
Izumi: Me too. I’ll get fat so I’ll pass.
Tsukasa: Eeh!? But in that case, it’ll inevitably be me who is going to have to eat them...?
Ritsu: Whaat, do you have any complaints about my sweets~?
Tsukasa: Eek! P-Please don’t get so close!
Uu, I understand. In that case, I, Suou Tsukasa, will heed my duty and eat Ritsu-senpai’s confections!
With that, this issue is resolved, so please go ahead with your earlier conversation, senpais…
Ritsu: Yaa~wn...♪ I’ve used up all my energy making sweets and now I’m tired… Good night...♪
Arashi: Geez, please don’t sleep in a place like this. ...Oh, he’s staggering towards the garden terrace.
Fufu, maybe he’s looking for a more comfortable place to sleep?
Izumi: Not that I care, but let’s clean up here already. Being around all this mess puts me on edge.
Arashi: Ah, I totally get you. Cleaning up after is also a part of cooking after all.
Tsukasa: Um, Narukami-senpai! Sena-senpai! What about the conversation we were going to have?
Arashi: Hmm~, but Ritsu-chan has already gone to sleep, you know? We worked hard baking those sweets today, so let’s leave the conversation for tomorrow.
Me and Izumi-chan are going to take care of the clean-up, so I’ll leave that large mass of sweets to you, Tsukasa-chan ♪
